George III Sterling Silver Teapot Stand London 1784

Hallmarked in London in 1784 for John Wakelin & William Taylor. Chased foliate rim with central shield cartouche. Height 2.3cm, length 16.5cm width 13.0cm. Small indentation on the rim some very fine light scratches.

169 grams (approx 5.4 troy). I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976. Some five years later I became head of the Decorative Arts department.
