1803 Georgian Berry Serving Spoon from England. Hand engraving and chasing on handle and bowl. Rat tail design on underside of handle. London, Date and Sterling marks are very clear, but the maker's hallmark is worn to the degree that the shield shape is hard to make out.
This piece was most likely made by William Fearn or William Fisher. No reportable issues, such as flat spots, nicks, dents, pings, dings, bashes, unusual scratches, bends, monogram removals, carbon spots, or other blemishes. Faint surface abrasions create patina consistent with age and use.
Pattern is still crisp and not worn away, but maker's name is worn and obscured. Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles.
On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. All dimensions and weights approximate. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition - this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt. This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Non-U.cottage" and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
