Georgian Silver Basting Spoon Mary and Elizabeth Sumner London 1811. Georgian silver basting spoon made by Mary & Elizabeth Sumner, mother and daughter -who worked together for 4 years only, between 1809 and 1813, this is not a common mark and makes it rather special.

Hallmarks: MS over Es for Mary & Elizabeth Sumner. Date letter "Q" for 1811. This elegant spoon is 30 cm or 12 inches long, the spoon weighs 102.5 grams or 3.3 ozs Troy. The spoon is monogrammed C on the back of the handle. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
