Geo III English Hallmarked Sterling Berry Spoons, London 1791, Wildman Smith. A lovely pair of Geo III (Dated 1791) English hallmarked embossed sterling silver serving spoons with a gilt wash in the bowls of the spoons. The centre of one of the spoon bows show a pineapple and apples with leaves while the other shows apples with leaves. On the handles of the spoons are engraved floral decorations.

On the back of the spoons are English hallmarks with the maker's initials W. S for Wildman Smith, London est. 1781 plus the lion passant, the shield, letter "q" for the year 1791 and a King George III head. All marks are slightly rubbed but still visible. The pair of spoons weigh 111 grams.

The gilt is faint on the spoons but, overall, the spoons are in very good condition for their 230 years. Please note that we pack extremely well and double box. Info AT highparkauctions DOT com.
